In 1947, a Dutch importer spotted workers at VW's factory using a Beetle to ferry parts around. Inspired by what he saw, he sketched the Volkswagen Transporter and the van world has never looked back. Since then millions of Transporters have been built, providing reliable workhorses for tradesmen and delivery drivers all over the globe.
Volkswagen have always stood out from the pack, helping them cement a loyal following from the original split screen to later T5 and T6 models.
Standard comfort and safety features to include, ABS Anti-Lock Braking System, Drivers Airbag, EBA Electronoic Brake Assist, Engine Immobiliser, ESP Electronic Stabilisation Programme, Remote Central Locking, Electric Windows, Power Steering, Radio/Single CD Player and on Bluemotion models is Cruise Control & Stop Start System.
The Volkswagen Crafter, Crafter Bluemotion, LT, Transporter and Caddy range also has been adapted, by aftermarket coach builders, to carry wheelchair users. By fitting the rear seats on quick release removable tracking, wheelchair users can access the vehicle by an internal or external electrically operated lift, or fold out ramps. Once in the vehicle wheelchairs can be anchored down to the floor mounted tracking using additional wheelchair anchoring straps. Also fitted to a number of these vehicles are slide out or fold out side door entry steps reducing the entry step height into the bus. The variations of these vehicles are vast offering 1 to 8 wheelchairs options depending on the size of the vehicle. Welfare buses are also a variation of the Crafter range often used by local authorities allowing easy access and a spacious environment for all users.
We also cater for the minibus operator supplying PSV spec vehicles with EU COC's, Certificate Of Initial Fitness (COIF) and tachographs. These vehicles are supplied with 12 months Public Service Vehicle test, Tachographs calibrated where required, tail lifts LOLA and weight tested ready for you to go straight to work.
